Drilling Project Management and Engineering is a core business activity for the QPT Group. QPT is able to provide a broad spread of drilling services ranging from conceptual well designs and budgetary cost estimates through to management of entire drilling projects.
Our key personnel have extensive experience in exploration, appraisal and development drilling operations throughout the world on both land and offshore sites. Our experience includes operations in oil, gas and coal seam methane programmes, HPHT wells, large bore gas production, gas and water disposal wells and deep water operations. Additionally, through our association with GWDC, we are able to provide expertise in Advanced Drilling Techniques to projects in areas such as through tubing rotary drilling, coil tubing, slim hole, under balanced drilling, and hydraulic workover operations.

GWDC’s specialist expertise in Underbalanced Drilling, Coiled Tubing Drilling and Through Tubing Rotary Drilling is deployed in various locations worldwide. As a truly independent Well Engineering company GWDC has developed systems and management processes based on proven track records, which ensure the optimum evaluation, strategy, planning and deliverables to suit individual well and field parameters are delivered. Combined with the highly experienced workforce of QPT, the GWDC/QPT consortium includes Drilling Engineering (conventional and advanced), Production Technology, Petroleum Engineering, Well Engineering and Well Servicing specialists as well as HSE, Legislative, IT and Communications capability. GWDC also provides accredited Drilling Engineering courses in their areas of specialisation.
